Resources Project Bread, the state's leading anti-hunger organization, is dedicated to alleviating, preventing, and ultimately ending hunger in Massachusetts. Through The Walk for Hunger, the oldest continuous anti-hunger walk in the country, Project Bread provides millions of dollars each year in privately donated funds to 366 emergency feeding programs in 120 communities statewide, including Saturday's/Sunday's Bread. However, Project Bread also advocates systemic solutions that prevent hunger in children and that provide food to families in natural, everyday settings, where they live, learn, and play. Saturday's/Sunday's Bread is a member of The Greater
Boston Food Bank, a non-profit clearinghouse for donated food, which is
distributed to a network of 800 food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless
shelters, daycare centers for children at risk, and other charitable
feeding agencies throughout nine counties in eastern Massachusetts. The
Greater Boston Food Bank is New England's largest hunger relief
organization, annually distributing over 19 million pounds of food,
which is the equivalent of approximately 15 million meals. For
additional information about The Greater Boston Food Bank, click on the
